VerticalExaggeration

Functions for computing vertically-exaggerated heights and positions.

Methods

static Cesium.VerticalExaggeration.getHeight(height, scale, relativeHeight)

Scales a height relative to an offset.
Name Type Description
height number The height.
scale number A scalar used to exaggerate the terrain. If the value is 1.0 there will be no effect.
relativeHeight number The height relative to which terrain is exaggerated. If the value is 0.0 terrain will be exaggerated relative to the ellipsoid surface.

static Cesium.VerticalExaggeration.getPosition(position, ellipsoid, verticalExaggeration, verticalExaggerationRelativeHeight, result)

Scales a position by exaggeration.
Name Type Description
position Cartesian3 The position.
ellipsoid Ellipsoid The ellipsoid.
verticalExaggeration number A scalar used to exaggerate the terrain. If the value is 1.0 there will be no effect.
verticalExaggerationRelativeHeight number The height relative to which terrain is exaggerated. If the value is 0.0 terrain will be exaggerated relative to the ellipsoid surface.
result Cartesian3 optional The object onto which to store the result.
