Principal Graphics Architect
Patrick leads the development team; he started Cesium and 3D Tiles.
Patrick founded the next generation of 3D geospatial: he started Cesium and 3D Tiles, and co-created glTF. He supports everything from recruiting to software development to partnerships.
Patrick is active in the graphics and geospatial communities—a facilitator of ecosystems and a frequent conference presenter and organizer. He is the Chair of the Khronos 3D Formats Working Group and was Program Chair for FedGeoDay 2016. Patrick has contributed to eight books on 3D globes, WebGL, OpenGL, rendering, and games.
Patrick also teaches graphics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned an MS in computer science. Oddly enough, he is a huge Sixers fan among other things like home remodeling, riding motorcycles, and before Cesium, boxing.
