Janine works with the Native Runtimes team to integrate Cesium's ecosystem with other game engines. They develop and maintain features in both Cesium for Unity and Cesium for Unreal, while also supporting their developer communities.
Janine played their first "real" video game (Sid Meier's Civilization III) in kindergarten. Ever since, Janine has been excited about the intersection of art and code and its possibilities. Their passions led them to study Digital Media Design at the University of Pennsylvania, where they learned the fundamentals of 3D graphics, GPU programming, and rendering techniques. During their studies, Janine worked as a teaching assistant for several classes, including Introduction to Computer Graphics and GPU Programming. Before graduating, Janine completed an internship at Cesium where they contributed to CesiumJS.
In their free time, Janine enjoys creating digital art, knitting, crocheting, practicing piano, and of course, playing video games. When they're not on a losing streak in League of Legends, they love crafting and selling their wares in MMOs.
