Applications reopened on July 1, 2024, for Cesium Ecosystem Grants, our $1 million commitment to advancing openness and interoperability in 3D geospatial.

If you or your organization are increasing ecosystem interoperability, supporting open source software and open standards, or creating educational advancements that address challenges and opportunities in 3D geospatial, you may be eligible for a grant.

In April, we awarded grants supporting introductory video tutorials for CesiumJS, the Cesium WebODM plugin, and 3D Tiles in Three.js. Recipients announced in June are working on a dynamic 3D globe in QGIS, a 3D mapping training program in regions prone to natural disasters, and an open training pathway aimed at AEC professionals.
