Patrick Cozzi on OGC's New Space Workshop

Cesium CEO Patrick Cozzi will appear as a panelist in the New Space Workshop, a 2-day virtual event taking place May 13—14, 2020.

The event is organized by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), an international consortium that promotes royalty free, publicly available open geospatial standards, including 3D Tiles.

The workshop will explore the globally emerging private spaceflight industry in a geospatial context. Panelists will discuss trends, share best practices, and identify areas where standards of interoperability may be required.

Cesium has deep roots in aerospace dating back to 2011 when it began as a project for mission planning and operations within AGI.

Speaking on the Analytics & Visualization panel on May 14, Patrick will offer insights on the opportunities and challenges around the abundance of geospatial data driven by cheaper and easier access to space, constellations of small satellites, and the expansion of orbits used for remote sensing.

He will appear alongside Ash M. Richter from In-Q-Tel and Ashley Antonides from Anno.ai in a panel moderated by OGC’s George Percivall.
