We are happy to announce the release of Cesium 1.41. Highlights include:
- Added clipping planes to the globe, 3D tilesets, and glTF models.
For the full list of changes, see the change log.
- We had another successful year helping NORAD track Santa’s journey on Christmas Eve. For more details on how it all works, read Vanessa Moore’s blog post, NORAD Santa Tracker Technology through the Years, Gabby Getz’s blog post Adding Snow to NORAD’s Santa Tracker, and the posts on the AGI, Khronos, and NVIDIA blogs.
We published a blog post of lessons learned from Growing the Cesium Open-Source Community. The takeaway is that any community can succeed with effort devoted in the right ways. Please share with those fostering the other open-source projects you care about.
Lockheed Martin implemented AGI’s STK Terrain Server and Cesium for NGA GVS Map of the World.
- Proposal deadlines for FOSS4GNA are coming up: workshop proposals are due January 15, and talk submissions are due February 8.
We have five new showcases up on our demos page.
