New Cesium Terrain Service Covering Pennsylvania

by

To all the Pennsylvania geo folks out there:

The Cesium team has just released a free, hosted, demonstration terrain service of Pennsylvania. Here is a sample app showing off some of my favorite locations. The beautiful 1-meter resolution terrain source comes from PASDA.

This service is ready to support any Pennsylvania-focused app that requires super-fast transmission of high-resolution terrain. You can find the service here. In CesiumJS, simply point your app’s terrain source to the tiles URL.

Send us a link to apps that you create with this data; we’d love to showcase your work on our demos page. Feel free to ping me at todd@agi.com with any questions or comments you have. Also, I’d be interested in hearing about other terrain data that you or your organization would be interested in having us host for you.
