Kenny Chen Joins the Cesium Team as Metaverse Research Engineer Intern
We’re happy to welcome Kenny Chen to the Cesium team! I’ve been leading Metaverse Research here at Cesium, investigating the role that 3D geospatial plays in bridging our physical and digital worlds. In researching the foundational work of the open metaverse, Kenny will be looking at efficient handling of large crowds.
Kenny has an excellent mix of skills for the projects we envision as part of Cesium’s interest in populating 3D Tiles in the metaverse. He has broad experience in computer graphics and machine learning, with some computer vision work thrown in as well.

Kenny received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and is now in the masters program at NYU. He’s had some great internships already, such as at NVIDIA. He’s starting part-time so he can continue his coursework at NYU and will be here full-time this summer.
Cesium is still hiring! If you’d like to help build the open metaverse, look at our careers page.
