Xuan Huang Joins the Cesium Team as Software Engineer 

We’re happy to welcome Xuan Huang to the Cesium team as a software engineer. Xuan will be contributing enhancements and optimizations to Cesium's 3D Tiling Pipeline, helping to build the future of fast and stable 3D tiling for 3D tilesets built with 3D Tiles 1.1.

Xuan is a recent PhD graduate of the University of Utah, advised by Valerio Pascucci. There Xuan's work focused on scalable techniques for fast and accurate visualization of large-scale scientific volumetric data on distributed systems. Before joining Cesium, Xuan interned at Intel's OSPRay group, where she supported the development and maintenance of the ray-tracing features in OSPRay. She also interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where she developed a novel visualization algorithm for bimodal analysis environment.

Outside of her work and research, Xuan enjoys playing retro Game Boy Advance games and hiking.
