Business Development

Travis is a geospatial technologist and business development engineer with a passion for building and scaling 3D geospatial solutions. At Cesium, he helps customers unlock the power of 3D geospatial by guiding adoption, supporting integration, and expanding Cesium’s reach across industries. 

Before joining Cesium, Travis spent over a decade at Microsoft, where he served as a GIS architect and technical lead. He played a key role in the development of multiple versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator, contributing to global GIS architecture, aeronautical data integration, and the creation of over 50,000 airports. He also led architectural efforts for Azure’s ModSim and GEMS capabilities, focusing on scalable, cloud-native geospatial pipelines. 

Travis holds a degree in geography (GIS) from the University of Washington and brings deep experience with Esri enterprise tools, open-source GIS, Unreal Engine, and Azure. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, basketball, music production, and the occasional video game.
