John Thompson
Business Development
As a software developer on the business development squad, John supports existing and potential customers in implementing Cesium products in their workflows.
John has worked in aerospace and defense software since 2016, with the majority of his time spent at AGI (Ansys Government Initiatives, formerly Analytical Graphics, Inc.). He was most recently the technical lead of AGI’s Digital Engineering Lab. Prior to that he was a field sales engineer, assisting AGI’s federal and commercial customers in using STK, STK Components, and ODTK.
John graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and a minor in computer science.
Outside of work, John loves all things outdoors: snow sports (mostly snowboarding), water sports (wakeboarding and paddle boarding), and other activities (hiking, fly fishing, and hunting). He also likes homebrewing and playing video games.
