VP of Platform Integrations

Chris Andrews is VP of Platform Integrations on the Cesium team at Bentley Systems. He supports partners and customers who are creating impactful experiences by integrating open geospatial technology. 

Chris previously worked as COO of a venture-funded startup, Rendered.ai, and he led a team at Esri responsible for 3D, defense, urban planning, and AEC products. At Esri, his work included initiating and driving multiple new, award-winning product efforts, including ArcGIS Earth, designed for US DOD/IC customers, and ArcGIS GeoBIM, an outgrowth of the Autodesk-Esri partnership, which he also started.

Prior to Esri, Chris drove multiple new products from inception to production at Autodesk, including Autodesk InfraWorks and Autodesk Character Generator. Also at Autodesk, Chris led a startup effort in life sciences, leading to several prototypes and a patent for 3D molecular visualization software.

Earlier in his career, Chris spent a lot of time in enterprise consulting and at small software startups in the geospatial industry. Selected efforts include center-wide requirements and architecture for GIS implementation at the Kennedy Space Center, building one of the first multitier crime mapping software systems in the US for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office, and work for ATF. Chris has a BS in biology-geology and MS in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Rochester. He has extensive experience with advising and networking small companies and teams in SaaS, PaaS, 3D, and related industries.
