Alex Paulson

Alex leads Commercial Business Development and Sales for Cesium.
Alex partners with customers in the 3D geospatial community to help them unlock the potential of 3D data through Cesium’s tools. With Cesium ion, users host, tile, and stream their 3D data to create geospatial applications on the web or in game engines. Alex helps community members in industries from aerospace to smart cities to architecture and construction access the tools that bring value to their fields.
Alex started his career at General Electric in various leadership programs, including FMP (Financial Management Program) and Corporate Audit Staff (CAS). His experience includes business development, product management, and finance in a broad range of successful organizations, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, in industrial AI and machine learning and industrial manufacturing sectors. Before joining Cesium, Alex founded a consulting firm focused on supporting startup and private equity key initiatives.
Alex has a BS in Finance from Penn State. He spends most of his free time with his wife Emily and two dogs. He loves outdoor activities, traveling, reading, and playing board games. Alex and Emily became open water scuba certified last year.
