Respond to inbounds, identify systems and strategies to better qualify responses and build our funnel, and grow the overall use of Cesium ion.
We’re looking for an inside sales representative to respond to inbound leads, identify systems and strategies to better qualify responses and build our funnel, and grow the overall use of Cesium - particularly Cesium ion, our SaaS platform.
Cesium is in a unique position in that it’s been in use for years, has an existing community of free and paying users, and has significant inbound traffic (with untapped potential). However, we recently spun out from our parent company and are newly independent - meaning we are building our sales function fresh and on our own for the first time. In this role, we are looking for someone to not only sell Cesium but also help us build a data-driven process to generate, respond to, and close inbound leads.
What you’ll do:
Create, maintain, and close a pipeline of leads based on set targets and company goals.
Respond to inbound leads, qualify them, and convert them to Cesium users and sales.
Develop new outbound sales opportunities by doing market research, identifying potential sales opportunities, and effectively reaching out to them.
Create and deliver sales pitches and product demonstrations, effectively differentiate Cesium’s product offering, and negotiate pricing and deal terms.
Help build data-driven sales processes and systems, including using our sales CRM to analyze and effectively target prospects.
What we’re looking for:
1-3 years of experience selling a technical product.
A love of data and a desire to use it to drive your sales strategies and systems.
Good technical base, and the ability to learn a highly technical product, explain it to technical customers, and work with software developers to fill in your gaps.
Great communicator who can pitch, identify how to excite and persuade potential clients, and sell the art of what’s possible with Cesium and 3D geospatial data.
Desire to work at a fast paced, growing startup where you’ll learn with us as we go.
Cesium is a platform for 3D geospatial data - we enable developers and data providers to build dynamic 3D geospatial applications more easily. 3D data is being collected all around us, nearly all the time. With Cesium, we’re making this 3D data more usable so we can better understand our world. We’ve been building Cesium for 8+ years and it’s production tested with companies like Toyota and Red Bull, government agencies like the NGA, and high traffic events like NORAD’s annual Santa Tracker. We are expanding into new industries as fast as we can and have a growing number of users on our SaaS platform Cesium ion. You’ll help us build this user base.
