Cesium and 3D Geospatial at FedGeoDay

FedGeoDay is just a few weeks away and the schedule is up. Now is a great time to register!

We’re happy to see 3D will be a prominent theme of this one-day conference. Talks that focus on Cesium include:

  • Cesium 3D Tiles: An Open Specification for Streaming Massive 3D Geospatial Scenes, Matthew Amato (Cesium). Our very own Matt Amato will cover how 3D Tiles enable streaming of massive heterogeneous geospatial datasets, with potential use in countless applications from federal and nonprofit to private and commercial.
  • Interactive Visualization of Satellite and Weather Model Data Online Using CesiumJS, Matthew Lammers (NASA Goddard/KBRwyle). Matt Lammers will demo three amazing applications built on Cesium as part of the NASA Precipitation Processing System (PPS) STORM website: Super Typhoon Nepartak visualization, GPM Near Real-Time Viewer, and STORM Virtual Globe.

The conference will be October 13, 2016, in Washington, D.C. Patrick Cozzi is serving on the conference’s committee, and we’re proud to be sponsors of the conference.
